Falcons find new way to fly

German airline Lufthansa announced this week that falcons are to be allowed in the cabin, in the coming months, during flights in a designed "Falcon Master" tray.   The airline said in a statement: "Falcon Master ensures maximum hygienic protection of the cabin walls, seats and carpets from soiling by the birds".   A Lufthansa spokeswoman said the design is in the design phase and that the certification process should take six to nine months before the device is ready to use.  Recognizing the obvious, the statement goes on to say the target group would be customers from the Middle East, where falconry is "very popular".
