A Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) appears to make a perfect touch-down as is comes in to land on Lake Kerkini, in northern Greece. The globally threatened Dalmatian Pelican can be seen in this area of Greece in great numbers during the winter months. Lake Kerkiniis one of the most important wetlands in Europe and hosts over 300 bird species.
