May 9, 2015, is the date of The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's next 'GLOBAL BIG DAY' conservation fundraiser.   Birders worldwide can participate in the event which hopes to tally 4,000 bird species around the world and raise $1/2 million for conservation.   Cornell's own 'Team Sapsucker' will be birding in Panama, the birding hotspot between the American continents.   Anyone can join the project by spending a few minutes birding on Saturday, May 9th, and entering their sightings at eBird.org. More information is available at the Cornell Lab website.
