A rather unfortunate name...

SSCRUB JAYY
Aphelocoma Californica
A Scrub Jay is seen on Angel Island State Park, in the San Francisco Bay, off California, US.   I've wondered in the past about whether the Scrub Jay was named for the scrubby habitat it prefers or for its sometimes scrubby and dull looks, compared to other beautiful jays.
