Fox Sparrow (Passerella iliaca)

The Fox Sparrow is well-named because of the foxy reddish colouring on its rump, tail and wings.   It is found in a broad narrow range across Canada and the north-western United States.   It is uncommon but quickly recognized by its noticeable red colouring.   It is a longish sparrow at 7".
