Evening Grosbeak (Coccothraustes vespertinus)

Here's another Grosbeak I find in my part of the world (southern Ontario).   It is the Evening Grosbeak, which is easily identified by its colouring (both the male and female).   It also has a distinctive big stocky bill.   In winter it frequents feeders but its numbers and range limits vary greatly from year to year.   In the the early 2000s, there has been a substantial decline in its numbers.
