Purple Finch
(Carpodacus purpureus)
We have seen fewer and fewer Purple Finches at our feeders during the last several years. I've read that House Sparrows and House Finches have pushed the Purple Finches out into the countryside and woodlands more and more. We still get a few but not like what we used to get.
