HOATZIN (Opisthocomus hoazin)
National Bird of Guyana
The Hoatzin is a chicken-sized bird with a blue face and orange mohawk-like crest and with several other characteristics that set it aside from all other birds. It is a neotropical birds that lives along slow-moving rivers and lakes in the Amazon Basin, where they are easy to find in their habitat.
