The Pied-billed Grebe has the broadest range of any grebe in North America. The photo at top was taken by my west coast Friend, Dave Kemp, at Terra Nova, Richmond, in south-west British Columbia. The second photo was taken by me at the Mill Pond, Richmond Hill, Ontario, just north of Toronto. The 'Pied-billed' is also found eastward to the Atlantic coast, north to the Northwest territories and south to Mexico and the Caribbean.
