Mid-April Yellow-rumped Warbler on Vancouver Island...

And here's some more information about this attractive early spring warbler.  It is also called the Myrtle Warbler from Alaska to Newfoundland and south to the Great Lakes and New York.  In British Columbia, south to Central America, it is known as Audubon's Warbler.   All plumages of this pretty, sparrow-sized bird, are characterized by a prominent yellow rump patch.   It's song is a rambling and variable warble or trill.   And below is another charming west coast spring water lily scene captured by Dave....
