I have half a dozen birding field guides that I refer to when writing my 'BarrytheBirder' blogs.
As a Canadian, the one I find I am using more and more is the DK BIRDS OF CANADA FIELD GUIDE BY Fred J. Alsopp.
It is 575 pages and profiles 524 species of the birds that occur in Canada. The illustrations are all excellent full-colour photographs.
The guide I am using is the Canadian edition, produced in 2005. It was priced back then at $30.00...God knows what it might cost today in 2026!
Please comment if you wish.
