The Osprey pictured above had caught a large fish in the south end of Lake Simcoe (or the north end of the East Holland River where it enters Lake Simcoe). While returning the two miles or so to its nest on the Ravenshoe Sideroad, it seemed to make a couple of stops along the way. I deduced that maybe the fish was so large and heavy, the Osprey had to stop and briefly rest and adjust its grip, on its way back to the distant nest. The photo below are not as in-focus as I'd like but I was hurrying to get the shots.
