SPOTTED TOWHEE
(Pipilo maculatus)
This western bird is distinguished from the similar Eastern Towhee by the white spotting on its back and scapular feathers near the shoulders. Note the red/orange eyes.
Chipping Sparrow
Widespread and common in Canada, including the west coast.
