CROWS CONGREGATE
Crows are found in most of North America, but in Canada they are described as partially migratory. In the autumn they are seen flocking together, as in the photo above, over Kettleby, in King Township. Most of these crows will head south when winter flexes its icy muscles. They will join a lot of other crows now and more so when they move south. Estimates of how many crows will gather in one spot verge on the amazing. As many as 90,000 to half a million crows have been reported in single contiguous roosts. They have high reproductive capabilities, will eat almost anything including enormous amounts of cutworms, grasshoppers and other harmful insects, plus road-kill.
