This summer's batch of baby hummingbirds has taken over the backyard and I feel like I'm constantly ducking my head as they shoot by. The females are constantly chased away from the feeders by the young males (pictured here) but it's very confusing because they are so fast. They all seem to survive however and there will, no doubt, be a batch of healthy and strong hummingbirds to head south in the fall.
