No sooner did I include a prize-winning photo of a Common Loon in yesterday's blog, than I came across another prize-winning loon photo to which I must draw your attention. The photo above was taken by Bill Maynard at Big Rideau Lake in Ontario. This photograph won 1st prize in the 'fauna' category in the 2011 Canadian Wildlife Federation's Reflections of Nature annual photo contest. I ask you: who wouldn't want to be the author of this amazing photograph. My belated congratulations to Mr. Maynard.
