Photographer Christian Spencer has captured a perfect photograph in the Strzelecki
Desert of Australia with his shot of a flock of galahs that has replenished itself with the small amount of water available at the base of a lonely tree. The photo appeared last year on the National Geographic website and photographer Spencer was quoted saying ''It was a rare opportunity to get such a clear and symmetrical shot of these beautiful birds in flight in the middle of the desert". The Galah (Eolophus roseicapilla) is found all over Australia and Tasmania (introduced). It is also known as the Rose-breasted Cockatoo, Galah Cockatoo, Roseate Cockatoo and the Pink and Grey.
